Job Purpose

The Mobility Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to render general administration, reception service and to operate the switchboard at the Gene Louw Traffic College.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

Recommendation

Experience in administration, switchboard and reception.

Key Performance Areas:

Assist with the Head of College’s appointments and liaison in respect of arranging meetings and taking minutes; Assist with typing of documents, takes notes and requesting stationery; Receive correspondence and policy updates and disseminate it to all relevant role players and components; Operate the Switchboard; Perform Receptionist duties.

Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of financial procedures; knowledge of operating a switchboard; knowledge Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Planning and organising.
