Value Logistics has an existing opportunity for exceptional graduates to be considered for inclusion on a Graduate Development Programme. This position is best suited for recently graduated individuals who want to gain valuable experience in an operational managerial role with advancement potential.

During the course of the Graduate Development Programme,  you will learn how to identify and apply important strategies and business processes. You will be exposed to the nuts and bolts of the Group’s functions and operations, and you will support the management team with daily tasks such as the allocation of budget and crafting performance reports. Our world class facilities in Elandsfontein, Joostenbergvlakte and Cato Ridge will serve as the home base to you as a Graduate and you will find yourself exploring sites all over the Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town regions.  In order to succeed in this role, strong analytical and effective communication skills are vital to achieve success on the programme.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers complete daily tasks (e.g. implementing new policies, procedures and strategies),
  • Understand various departmental functions within the Group in order to grasp daily processes and key performance areas,
  • Familiarize with various aspects of people management,
  • Participate in company’s strategic planning,
  • Assist Management with evaluating operational performance (e.g. writing reports, analyzing data),
  • Proactively track business revenue, 
  • Research new methods to increase profitability and lower operational risk,
  • Create and conduct client presentations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid SA Drivers Lisence and reliable transport,
  • Degree in any of the following:
  • Supply Chain/Logistics, Transport/Road Freight, Management or Business, Economics etc.
  • Honours degree will be highly advantageous.

A short list of qualified candidates will be compiled. The short-listed candidates will be contacted to confirm interview dates and times during the 3rd & 4th week in January 2024.

During interviews candidates will be required to participate in a panel discussion and conduct a case study presentation as part of the selection process.
