Medirite Plus Olivedale seeks a Pharmacy Sales Assistant who is customer-focused, hard-working, and adaptable to ensure smooth in-store retail operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy interacting with customers. Responsibilities include greeting customers, arranging visual displays, processing refunds, and identifying customer needs to suggest appropriate products.

Job Objectives:

  • Handle payments and balance sales and receipts according to company procedures.
  • Stay informed about new products and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Restock items and organize the sales floor according to standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct regular price audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Process customer payments using the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain product knowledge to offer advice and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on promotions and special offers.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping.
  • Address customer queries promptly and escalate to higher management when necessary.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Grade 12 qualification

Experience:
Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 months experience at the point of sale/till point within a retail environment.
  • Proven track record in retail sales, including experience on the sales floor and at the cash counter.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with stock receiving procedures and merchandising standards.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  • Engaging and friendly personality.
  • Knowledge of payment procedures (cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.
